Casting Impregnation
Casting Impregnation is important if a casting is to be used under pressure, because the process ensures that the casting doesn't leak fluids during use. The process of impregnation seals micro porosity within the casting walls to achieve this. A wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals can be treated using the vacuum impregnation method and here at Space Seal we can also impregnate brass, mild steel, plastic and sinter parts.
Space Seal is a highly respected company within the industry and we therefore pride ourselves on offering a quality service. All our operatives are highly trained and we use the latest machines for our processing. In our processing plant we use a PC504/66 sealant and a rotating water cascade process with recyclable sealant to impregnate parts. We are able to process parts up to 2 tonne and up to a diameter of 1300mm.
Casting Impregnation is available when you come to Space Seal. To find out more about our company and our services, please call us on 01902 790018 and one of the team will be happy to help. You can also email us at enquiries@spaceseal.co.uk and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
